It might not feel like it here in the Midwest quite yet, but autumn is most certainly on its way. While we all look forward to cozying up in all of our old sweaters as the days get shorter and the air gets cooler, I’m pretty sure there are there a few sweaters tucked away that may have a snag here or a hole there. Have you ever thought about re-purposing one or two?
If you enjoy sewing, maybe you would like to try your hand at re-purposing and making something beautiful for your little darlings! This easy-to-use and well-designed pattern is just the thing!
I would love your help to spread the word about my friend Laura’s pattern, so I’m offering to Giveaway of a copy of the Banbury Cross Cardigan PDF e-pattern to TWO readers, and while you are here, I invite you to visit Laura’s delightful blog Quietude.
This contest is over. We have two winners!!
They are #238- Jeannette O. and #12 Simone C.
Congratulations, ladies 🙂
This pattern gives you have lots of sizes and options whether you choose a soft, girlie fleece like the one sweet Lavinia is wearing below or a handsome wool ‘grandpa’ cardigan with elbow patches such as Laura made for Edmund.
Laura says, “I think beginner sewists could tackle this, provided you are comfortable sewing knits and buttonholes (although, if the buttonholes are holding you back, you could easily replace them with hand-sewn snaps instead!).”
Here is what you will need for this project:
