What is brain starvation and what causes it? I recently learned how an easily corrected deficiency in diet can actually cause active brains to function poorly – especially in boys. Please join me as we explore something every parent should know. Updated May, 2017.
Most of us are aware that boys and girls are different. They see things differently, they play differently and they think differently.
I was surprised to find out recently that boys also have different nutritional needs than do girls.
Is your son’s brain starving?
“You wonder why it’s so hard to find some peace of mind? Well, peace is hard to come by when you live in a war zone. And like it or not, you are in a war — a very serious one. This war is cosmic in its proportions. It involves God, humans, angels, demons, principalities, powers, nations, and antichrists.” ~John Piper
While it would be an over-estimation of Satan’s power to suppose that he can interact directly with us in a physical sense, an equal and opposite error would be to suppose that he does not have access to our minds. (1)

There is a silent tragedy developing right now, in our homes, with our children. Through my work with hundreds of children and families as an occupational therapist, I have witnessed this tragedy unfolding right in front of my eyes.
Are you seeking to restore health to your child ? Do you have a child with an anger issue? Do you have a child that appropriate correction and discipline aren’t helping? Please let this important guest post by Jaclyn Harwell inspire you!
“If you had told me a few years ago that even the worst of my son’s behavior could be linked to food, I would have said I agreed. I knew sugar and food dye were linked to behavioral problems in children, and as soon as I learned this, I removed them from his diet. We saw some improvement. But even as we continued to eat well and focus on whole, organic foods, some new behaviors were emerging: disturbing, disheartening behaviors that I was at a loss to handle.
How foods with additives affect children’s behavior has been heavy on my mind as I’ve watched Mamas struggle with increasingly belligerent and aggressive kids.
This topic is just too important to ignore.
One of our sons also had a serious behavior issue at the same time we were dealing with food allergies, candida, and leaky gut (from mold exposure), so I was able to witness first hand the strong connection between food and his behavior.
