Spiritual revival can be hard to define. But it’s impossible to manufacture, and there is no question: A true revival of the Holy Spirit is happening again out of Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky.
Asbury’s chapel service concluded last Wednesday like most chapels do. However, something was notably different. The students didn’t leave. Many stayed and continued in worship, prayer, repentance, and sharing testimonies.
This revival is going on a week now, and the chapel with 1,200 seats is overflowing. Believers are driving, bussing, and flying in from around the country and even other campuses to join. Singer and songwriter Andrew Peterson has even postponed his upcoming performance slated for later this week at Asbury so as not to interrupt the revival unfolding.
Last Saturday. 1 minute.
Many of you have children that are in dark wilderness seasons, or even far-off from God. They are struggling and are in a desperate place. Oh, may the Holy Spirit to be poured out on their thirsty lives to revive and resurrect them. May streams of living water and the light awaken them.
As you’ve cried out for your loved ones, He hears your cry and is answering your prayers. We pray He will lift them from “the horrible pit, out of the miry clay” that they have been trapped in (Psalm 40).
This is prophesied to happen in the last days:
“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.” ~Isaiah 44:3-4
In faith, I believe the Lord is resetting many who have been dealing with great anxiety, depression, and fear. (And I am personally seeing it happen in lives around me.)
Billy Sunday said, “When is a revival needed? When carelessness and unconcern keep the people asleep.”
Many of you have been praying for this! I, too, have been asking the Lord, especially recently, and the words of an old hymn title came to me: “Let there be a revival, Lord, and let it start with me.”

This very amazing longer video is by Asbury STUDENTS last Sunday when the revival was into it’s 100th hour.
One young woman there at Asbury said, “I had left [the chapel] for a few minutes but then felt called to return. Since then, it hasn’t stopped. It’s been a mix of worship, testimony, prayer, confession, silence,” she explained, calling it “a full experience of the Holy Spirit.” (source)
Please pray the Spirit of God will sweep through the university, missing no one, and continue across the USA igniting a new generation passionate for the Gospel.
This is a work of the Spirit —allow Him to do this deep work within you, too, no matter what your age is. Stop and take the time to be with Him. There is such peace and rest in abiding trust. There is amazing grace that sets you free from having to figure it all out in your own strength. There is joy in the surrender of yesterday and peace in the thoughts of tomorrow as you put your faith in His perfect love and care.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

Praise the Lord!!
I did notice you had this college on your list of colleges that’s been teaching material that promotes spiritual formation or “wokeism”.
Should this college be removed from this list? I contacted Light House Trails to ask why they put them on this list and got no response.
I pray God’s Holy Spirit will continue to lead us to true repentance and give us an unquenchable desire for lost souls to be saved!

For years I’ve prayed for family and friends who do not yet know Jesus (as well as revival across North America and the world) and I’ve sometimes given up praying for them for a while. Lately I’ve been praying that the Lord would send me some encouragement to keep praying for them and your post is an answer to that prayer!
