I recall how GWBush and Cheney were accused of causing hurricane Kastrina, or at least steering it into New Orleans and I thought at the time, “how ludicrous”…no person can cause weather. That’s all in God’s control. And now…looking back I have to wonder if the Party of Projection wittingly or unwittingly let the cat out of the bag, revealing technology that was actually available, whether or not it was actually used in that case.

Thanks, Jacque. This is very timely. I’m very angry about geoengineering these days. We farm and we’re in our seventh year of drought. The Lord has continued to provide crops with timely rains. This year’s crops are not looking very promising. The fields are dry and my husband isn’t sure why the plants are still alive – by the grace of God!
One of our political candidates in a recent by-election said that if he was elected he would work to investigate geoengineering. He got a lot of votes, but was not elected.
I’d like to share some of what we’re doing to keep ourselves and our soil healthy – this is a bit long, but I’d like to share for your readers, too. Based on all we’ve learned in recent years, our personal plan of action to grow/eat healthy food in this geoengineering climate is this:
1) Make activated charcoal (also called biochar) to spread in our garden and orchard (activated charcoal adsorbs almost all poisons). So far, we’ve had enough to sprinkle in the furrow at time of planting and everything that gets the activated charcoal is significantly taller, lusher, more productive. *Warning: charcoal that is NOT activated will cause a drop in fertility for a year or two while the charcoal takes in nutrients from the soil, so it’s important to activate it BEFORE using it in soil.
2) Mulch our orchard with a thick layer of wood chips (this helps both in years of too much or not enough rain). Paul Gautsche (Back to Eden Gardening) says that the thick layer of wood chips will filter out the chem that falls from the skies. We also try to mulch the garden with chem-free straw as much as possible.
3) Apply IMO (I think this means Indigenous Micro-organisms) to mulch on garden and orchard. We make IMO by capturing the micro-organisms from virgin chem-free soil under a huge healthy tree at a friends property. We read an article in Acres eco-farming magazine that gives instructions on how to do this.
4) Compost chicken bedding (from deep-bedding method used over winter) near trees we want to thrive. Our biggest, lushest trees on our property are the ones that are near our piles of wood chips or rotting chicken bedding. Ironically, these are also the YOUNGEST trees on our yard. We moved our chicken bedding compost piles into our orchard in the spaces between our trees.
5) We hope to build a greenhouse, though this has been our dream since before we knew how bad chem-trail issues were. It would be so nice to extend our growing season and protect ourselves from the chem fall-out.
6) We soak all our produce (home-grown or not) in baking soda water for a few minutes (~1 teaspoon per gallon of water) then rinse before storing or eating. A few weeks ago one of our children ate two strawberries from the garden and ran inside to throw up. This child was not sick at all. A little while later, same child ate a washed strawberry from the garden and had no problems. This year the chem trail haze in the sky is THICK several days per week.
7) We’re including as many foods/habits as possible to keep gently detoxing (epsom salt baths, drinking homemade broth, etc.)

Hi Jacque,
We have bought food grade activated charcoal from these folks: https://charcoalremedies.com/. We got a big bag of the powder and used some in the soil, but have started making our own activated charcoal instead because it would be too expensive to buy it otherwise. (And we wanted to save the food grade powder for emergency human use!)
Sometimes people we know have trees they don’t want, so my husband offers to cut the trees down and we use that for firewood, wood chips, and charcoal making. Another great source of hardwood is free leftovers from local cabinet making companies. We just cut it down to size for kindling or charcoal.
There are various ways to make charcoal. Here’s our basic process:

It’s important to make sure to add wood slowly and make sure it’s burning good and hot before adding more. Our first batch didn’t burn completely because we filled it too fast, so I’ll have to do it again. We’re still learning! =)
2) Dry charcoal is used for cooking (as in the above video), but to use in the soil, it’s important to activate it. We activate it by crushing the charcoal into powder/smalls chunks, then soaking it in homemade compost tea. After soaking for a few days, we let it dry for storage. If it’s going straight into the garden, I don’t think it would need to dry.
We make compost tea by soaking a pail full of weeds in water for a few days (can be started the same day as making charcoal so it’s ready by the time the charcoal comes out of the barrel). You can also use compost tea made from fresh manure, raw milk, urine, etc., or a mix of all of the above. I plan to use the IMO (described in my previous comment) as part of our compost tea because it’s so full of microbes from good forest soil.
Some people activate their charcoal by adding it directly to the compost bin. It is well activated by the time the compost is ready to use in the garden. We prefer to apply it directly in the furrows at the time of planting because it uses less.
Activated charcoal not only adsorbs poisons, but slowly releases the microbes and nutrients into the soil over decades/centuries.
*** DO NOT BREATHE in charcoal dust. It’s not good for your lungs. To avoid the charcoal dust in the air, you can add powder to water in a jar, shake it up with a lid on, then pour into your watering can to apply to the soil.
For those who want to research more, you can look up things like biochar or terra preta (in South America).

I am so thankful for this information.
We do not have the ability to make our own charcoal where we currently live, nor would we want to have a hot fire here in our desert, with the triple digits we are having right now!
However, I am thinking maybe I should just open a couple capsules of activated charcoal, which I always keep in our medicine cabinet, put in my watering can, and sprinkle on all of our vegetable gardens…maybe this will help. For all the effort of a home garden, we surely want our vegetables to be as nutrient dense and as free of harmful agents as possible.

Andrea, I love the idea of adding AC to the soil by spot watering around actively growing plants!
It’s come to our attention that we also need to keep an eye on the pH of the soil. Aluminum and other toxic metals used to deflect sunlight tend to make the soil more and more alkaline, gradually decreasing the uptake of nutrients by growing plants.
There is so much to learn.

We’re still pretty new at this, though my husband has been studying soil health for years and we’ve been experimenting in our garden for years.
I totally understand why you would not want to make your own charcoal. If it works in winter, you could try to make enough then to use year round. If you don’t want to use a barrel above ground, you can look up how to make charcoal in a pit that you dig in the ground.
If it’s in your budget, you could purchase activated charcoal in bulk. This (link below) is the cheapest option from a place we have purchased bulk activated charcoal (before starting to make our own). We got a 40-lb. bag years ago, but I don’t see it at this link, so you might want to contact the company directly to ask.

For use in the garden/orchard, I think I’d still add the store-bought activated charcoal to a homemade compost tea. Compost tea and sugar (or molasses is even better) make HUGE difference in nutrient density of food. The microbes are responsible for cleaning up toxins in the soil as well as nutrient transfer to the plants. The sugars (and molasses with it’s extra minerals) feed the microbes and add carbon directly to the soil. The activated charcoal is a medium to store the microbes and minerals for slow-release over the long haul. I think it also adsorbs toxins in the soil.
We have seen significant results in the first year of application when applying activated charcoal directly in the furrow. We did a test strip in our sweet corn and the corn that got activated charcoal was at least a foot taller, more lush and green.
The mix my husband applies to our soil also includes soft rock phosphate. This is KEY for nutrient uptake because all minerals travel into the plant from the soil in a phosphate form. Phosphorous is the “delivery truck.” After delivering minerals to the plant, it returns to the soil to pick up more. Calcium, on the other hand, gets used up and moves down in the soil. That is why light tillage is important, as well as those tap-root weeds which bring calcium back up from deep in the soil.
Anyway – I hope that is helpful. If you do not have access to soft rock phosphate, you can add food scraps to your compost that are rich in phosphorous.
One more thought re: charcoal – You can also try to find activated charcoal for agricultural use. I haven’t checked that out myself much because we started making out own. I think buying in bulk will be much cheaper than using capsules.

I just wanted to add that activated charcoal can be made from dead wood – stuff that’s just lying around that would be considered “waste.” It shouldn’t be rotting yet, but just dead branches lying around can be collected to burn for charcoal. That doesn’t require chain saws or other tools to get into small enough pieces for burning. It can just be broken by hand.
Those who do not have access to a barrel can also just dig a pit in the ground to burn charcoal. All you need is something to cover the fire after it gets going. Check out tutorials online to learn more!
