It has been years since my sister told me about finding a special love letter CD she gave a friend who was dying of cancer. She told me of the peace and power that listening brought to our friend and even to the others present in the hospital room that day.
Now we’ve had Covid and many families were not able to be with their loved ones as they died, were in the hospital without their advocate, and such unthinkable trials as not being able to bury their spouse or parent or child.
It seems that in times of greatest difficulty, lying in bed all alone, isolated, or searching, that hearts are more open and receptive to receiving words of truth. Just the act of reaching out is enormously meaningful and can open closed doors.
I purchased the love letter CD for myself and shared that old CD with others in similar circumstances. You don’t have to look far to find a needy soul.
But now we have videos, the very words of God to read over the phone or send to a hurting heart.
“So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” ~Isaiah 55:11
The words of this love letter CD will change someone’s life if you share them however the Lord leads you.
Words from the very heart of God.

Love, Your Dad, Almighty God
Friends, let us be courageous and reach out in love with this love letter! The Father’s Love Letter is a valuable tool in our hands to bless and encourage the sick and hurting hearts all around us. Ask them to play it in the CD player of their car, when they are alone, or just play it for them. Or even send the link of this post and share the words on the video.
Let’s diligently look and pray for opportunities to witness the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the weary and burdened. The Love Letter CD is just one of many ways to minister, but let us remember that ‘people don’t care how much we know until they know how much we care’.
People that need the words of the Lord:
- a sick child or discouraged young person
- an aging neighbor or lonely grandparent(s), those in the nursing home
- play it (or read it aloud) as you wait for the birth of your baby
- those in prison (Prison Fellowship is an excellent ministry founded by Chuck Colson)
- the chronically ill, a friend in the hospital, or one recovering
- a seeker with questions about who God is
Is there someone you can minister to right now?
“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation…” ~Isaiah 52:7
