With a giant AI data center proposed to be built near our home, I admit I’ve been thinking a lot about artificial intelligence (AI), and if it could somehow be a part of ushering us into the end times. None of this was on my radar screen 4 months ago.
Artificial intelligence is no longer science fiction. It’s part of daily life. But as AI becomes more powerful, serious spiritual questions have been raised: Is AI the Antichrist? Is AI connected to end times? And how should Christians think about AI?
The renowned author and Oxford mathematician John C. Lennox, who debated Richard Dawkins on ‘the existence of God’ and left Dawkins speechless, warns that future developments in AI could deceive billions – just as foretold in Scripture – engineered by the one Jesus called “the father of lies,” and whom the apostle John identified as “the Antichrist.” In his book ‘God, AI, and the End of History, Understanding the Book of Revelation in an Age of Intelligent Machines‘, he explores the explosive intersection of artificial intelligence, biblical prophecy, the Antichrist, and the end times.
The Bible tells us that in the last days, there’s going to be a world figure that will emerge—the Antichrist, also called the Beast and “the man of lawlessness”.
This man, the Antichrist, will be a world figure who comes on the scene and ushers in what we often call the great tribulation period. The great tribulation 7-year period will begin with the emergence of Antichrist, and it will end with the return of Jesus Christ.
But could AI be part of this end times scenario? I think it is very possible.

It grabbed my attention when this pastor, using today’s modern vernacular, alluded to what God’s prophetic word tells us will happen. It is really not far-fetched at all if you put it into the context of technology today.

The pastor above is referring to Revelation 13:13-17. Interestingly, every scripture in Daniel 7 is repeated in the Book of Revelation (source) – yet, the 2 books were written approximately 600 years apart. Read the details here.
Is AI Part of End Times Events?
Until this generation, there was very little advancement in AI technology. For 6,000 years people traveled on the earth using the fastest animal they could find, but in one generation everything changed. My Nana, born ~1902, once told me that she was 10 before she saw her first automobile; but before she would have been 65, John Glenn had orbited the earth.
The Book of Daniel prophesied that in the end of days knowledge would accelerate and people would be traveling extensively. Daniel 12:4 (ESV) is explicit:
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
With the development of quantum computing, micro-engineering, and micro data storage, the science fiction of the past has rapidly become the reality of our present day. Lifelike images with the perception (appearance) of life have been developed and their realistic behavior and intellect seems to closely mirror human emotions and life. It is getting more difficult, even to the trained eye, to tell if something is real or AI.
The Bible tells us the Antichrist will erect an image of himself and demand worship—and that the image will somehow appear animated or alive:
“And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.” ~Revelation 13:14–15 (NKJV).
Not too long ago, this all sounded so out there. But now with the advances in robot technology interfaced with AI intelligent technology, and more, the prophecy we read in the Book of Revelation doesn’t seem so far-fetched.
A One-World Government in the End Times
Let’s dive into what God’s Word says about a one-world government —a totalitarian uniting of various powers into a final dictatorial ruler.
The Book of Revelation describes a time when the world will be united under one government, led by a powerful and deceptive ruler known as the Antichrist who will demand total loyalty and even worship.
Revelation 13:7-8 (NIV) paints the picture of this new world system this way:
“It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
The Mark of the Beast Using AI?: A Sign of Control
Revelation 13:15-17 (NLT) warns:
“He was then permitted to give life to this statue so that it could speak. Then the statue of the beast commanded that anyone refusing to worship it must die. It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.”
The one world government will control who can buy and sell. Only those who take the mark of the Beast will be able to participate in society. It could refer to a future digital currency, a tracking system (think Flock cameras everywhere), or implanted biometric technology such as the new 2026 Neuralink brain-computer interface or RFID readable chips implanted on the hand.
The Antichrist will use his authority to force people to follow him —he will demand to be worshiped. Instead of bringing peace, he will bring oppression and death and destruction.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 (NIV) is clear in regards to this ‘man of lawlessness’:
“Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.” ~2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
I am just touching on the surface of prophecies contained in the Word of God.

These things must happen before Christ returns…but that doesn’t mean we walk in fear. Watch and pray.

During covid, there was speculation that the clot shot was “a mark of the beast” because they wanted people to have “papers” saying they were vaccinated to go in and eat, etc. Luckily that didn’t happen. Gets you thinking.

It’s a common error, easy to make. English is fun, huh? A real mongrel language, in the best sense. The teacher I follow often talks about how the mind is like a committee, with many voices. One of the voices in my mind seems to be a copy editor. 50 years ago, when I was working at the Whole Earth Catalog, one day someone handed me a page of type to go over, and before I started to read it, my eye picked out a misspelled word in the middle of the page. I did not grow up in a church that truly read, studied and taught the Old Testament. My Sunday School teacher was afraid to read and teach Revelation because it scared her. I have not adopted the same reticence! At this time I strongly believe that Daniel 7 is past, current, and future prophecy. The first 3 beasts have risen and fallen. (we learn of them in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and in Daniel 2). They were kingdoms and kings of, firstly Babylon (lion with eagle’s wings), secondly Medo-Persia (Bear), thirdly Greece (Leopard with bird wings) (with 4 heads like Alexander the Great had 4 generals), and fourthly Rome (dreadful and terrible beast with 10 horns). Chapter 2 taught us that the 4th kingdom will break in pieces and crush all of the others; it shall be divided; it shall be partly strong and partly fragile. What do we know of the Roman empire? So much! One thing is for certain, the Roman empire was super strong and then it fell and morphed into the Roman Catholic Church. verse 23 tells us that the 4th kingdom (the 4th beast, and 4th king, as clarified in verse 17) shall have 10 kings (horns, verse 24). But the one king (little horn) shall subdue three kings (verse 24) and shall persecute the saints and intend to change times and law (verse 25). I believe this very language applies to what happened centuries ago when the 7th day Sabbath was rejected in favor of the Sunday Lord’s Day, orchestrated by the Roman Catholic Church. I hold a copy of the catechism in which it states that the Lord’s day is both the 1st and the 8th day and it takes precedence over the Sabbath because Jesus rose on the 1st/ 8th day. The RCC changed times and laws and during the middle ages we see the absolute persecution of the Sabbath keepers. Chapter 8 expounds on the medo-persian and Greek empires.
Revelation 13 is where we again see the beast that rises out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns. Note the language in Rev 13:2 that describes this beast as “like a leopard” “feet like a bear” “mouth like a lion” with power from the dragon. That language should remind us all of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and the description of the first 3 kingdoms. This beast has elements of those kingdoms, just as Rome took elements of the kingdoms before it. This beast has a mortal head wound that heals. It is given authority for 42 months (Daniel called this “a time and times and half a time”). He makes war with the saints. And then comes the Beast from the earth, who causes the earth and all who dwell on the earth to worship the first beast (Reve 13:12) (which is the 4th beast from the book of Daniel).
I believe that from John’s perspective, verses 5 -8 speak of the future, but it is past tense for us. Since the time of Christ, people have been taking the mark of the 4th beast by rejecting the gospel of Jesus Christ and dying in their sins. But now verses 11-18, I am conflicted. During the reign of this Beast from earth, he will “give breath to the image of the beast.”
I do agree that the language, “give breath to the image” and “make an image to the beast” (verses 14, 15) could be describing A.I. and robots. But causing the people to receive a mark so that no one may buy or sell unless they have the mark, name, or number of the name of the beast, might also refer to the rejection of the Sabbath. Hear me out. If a person follows the 10 commandments, the Sabbath being 1 of the 10, they will not buy or sell on the Sabbath day. But if they reject the instruction of the Torah/statute/precept, and take on the mark of the beast system, they can certainly buy and sell on the Sabbath. And it would make sense that the buying and selling would be highlighted here because it is the one commandment that it is visible EVERY WEEK in a person’s life. The Mark on hand or forehead could be physical, sure, but this same language was used in the Old Testament when Israel was told to bind the Torah/Law on their hands and foreheads. They didn’t literally tattoo themselves. It is figurative language that speaks to the mind and the actions.
This is my understanding at this time! I have been incorrect before, so I will continue to study and seek wisdom. Regardless, I want to be sure I have my oil and my lamp prepared! My prayer is daily, Even so, Come Adonai Jesus!

I have seen that some people believe that the reason that the beast with ten horns in Revelation 13 rises out of the sea is because it arises out of maritime/admiralty law that governs the waters throughout the world. The courts throughout the United States have flags with yellow fringe which symbolizes that it is a court for admiralty law, in essence signifying that the Constitution is already overthrown. Furthermore, some believe that the ten horns on the beast are ten technocrats who rule over ten regions of the world who then hand their authority over to satan/lucifer according to Revelation 17:12.
My personal suspicion is that the pandemic was run by AI and that it is possible that AI is still running the government. I expect “Trump” to officially establish the North American Union between Canada, the US, and Mexico, which is rumoured to be one of the ten regions that is handed over to satan/lucifer.
Also, another theory is that Revelation 17:6 indicates that the beast hates the whore which leads to the Vatican being destroyed in Revelation 18. That may be the wound that is healed in Revelation 13 because the one world religion that is Catholicism would be resurrected in Jerusalem as Luciferianism. The purpose of Catholicism has always been globalism since Catholicism literally means Universalism. If the Vatican is destroyed then the beast could traipse out Project Blue Beam or AI Jesus to play the part of Jesus/Isa/Horus reincarnated. The beast with two horns like a lamb that speaks like a dragon is speculated to be a one world government with two branches, one religious led by blue beam Jesus and the other political led by a man possessed by satan/lucifer. The beast looks like a lamb, Jesus, but speaks wickedly like a dragon, satan.
I agree that the man may be AI but I have also heard the testimony of several people who claim to have seen satan/lucifer who can appear as a man who is handsome, cunning and seductive. Even heterosexual men have said they lusted after him…which an AI system could also fabricate that image to the masses. I do believe that the beast AI system is far more advanced than we have been led to believe.

If you read the 3 book series Dome 6 you will see the evolution of AI and micro biology ( synthetic life organisms). As I read these novels the end times looks scary just from that standpoint let alone Gods wrath!
