22M Use Pain Med ‘Prialt’: Side Effects Mania, Stupor, Amnesia

A fairly new U.S. company, ToxinTech, houses a library of ‘designer toxins’ for sale to researchers to develop new drugs.

Prialt, one of 16 new drugs in use made from different venoms, comes from the venom of the cone snail, one of the most deadly toxins known. Interesting read: Cone Snails Are Liars and Murderers.

Some animals have developed the ability to produce neurotoxic venom for defense and hunting which efficiently immobilizes or kills their prey by disrupting the prey’s nervous system. Since animal venoms are neurotoxic and designed to decimate their prey, one big question is what is it doing to the 22 million adults in America who ingest this venom regularly?

In shocking Prialt clinical trials, cognitive adverse-reactions included confusion (33%), memory impairment (22%), speech disorder (14%), hallucinations (12%), aphasia (12%), abnormal thinking (8%), meningitis (3%), and amnesia (1%). (source) The Prialt website explains taking Prialt can also lower a user’s consciousness, cause severe psychiatric symptoms, causing him or her to become UNRESPONSIVE or “stuporous.” 

Prialt can make your pain far worse or cause a person to want to commit suicide. (See the section ‘Important Safety Information’ on the Prialt website).

The FDA approved this drug to go to market anyway, and I assume at least some of this can happen while driving putting others at greater risk.

Dr. Bryan Ardis reveals why pain med ‘Prialt’ is proving to be so dangerous and that many are suffering from taking it.

At 16:30, Dr. Ardis speaks of Drs. Stanley Cohen and Rita Levi-Montalcini‘s Nobel Prize-winning discovery. They showed that when human nerves were exposed to snake venom, it caused rapid TUMOR growth called ‘nerve growth factor’. So that alone is one warning of what may be downstream when using venom-based drugs.

Lastly, Taking Prialt can also trigger meningitis and altered mental status, seizures

In clinical trials, about 3% of patients developed meningitis, the symptoms of which include fever, headache, stiff neck, altered mental status (e.g. confusion, disorientation), nausea or vomiting, and seizures. (source)

All of these nasty harms are associated with Prialt’s active ingredient – the venom.

Dr. Ardis mentions that Bothrops jararacas pit viper venom is used to manufacture several heart drugs and causes similar side-effects common after snake bite:

• Captopril is a high BP drug that also causes dizziness, loss of taste, lethargy, swollen lips, muscle weakness, fever, chills, and may cause serious liver and kidney damage.

• Lisinopril another high BP med that causes dizziness, fainting, severe or continuing nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. It may cause serious liver problems or affect blood sugar.

• Integrillin is an acute coronary syndrome treatment but it also causes fever, headaches, confusion, bloody stools and bleeding out the nose, mouth, vagina, or rectum.

• Aggrastat is used to treat the symptoms of blood clots or heart attack. Side-effects are bleeding that will not stop, coughing up blood, and bleeding around your IV or catheter.

Of course, the drug companies don’t mention the use of venom in their products and most doctors don’t even know.

3.
