Friends and regular readers, let’s talk about the recent train derailment in Ohio, subsequent toxic exposures, and how to best support our bodies during a crazy situation like this.
This environmental disaster occurred in Ohio, but since air and water are not easily contained, it will affect larger regions. If you live within 5 hours of Ohio, I would pay attention.
Overview: On Feb 3, 2023, 50 cars on a Norfolk Southern Railroad train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio. They were full of toxic chemicals, including vinyl chloride. They were then set on fire by the government, apparently to make it easier to clear the railroad tracks. This was the worst possible decision.
Five of the cars contained vinyl chloride, which becomes hydrogen chloride and phosgene when burned. Phosgene is a deadly gas that was used in chemical warfare during World War I. (source)
Most coverage of the train wreck in Ohio fails to mention another byproduct of burning vinyl chloride —dioxin. Burning vinyl in trash incinerators, house fires. or chemical spills is the most serious source of dioxin in the environment. Dioxins were the extremely toxic component in the Vietnam War-era defoliant Agent Orange, and they were at the Love Canal in Niagara Falls. They are the cause of toxic shock syndrome from bleached paper tampons.
Three other very toxic gasses and particulate were also released. (source)
According to the radar data from the NWS in Pittsburgh, that plume went over 4,000 feet into the air! It was blown by the prevailing winds across eastern Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York State, toward the population centers of the northeastern U.S.
What goes up must come down…
This image shows the path of the Phosgene particulate as of February 8, 2023.
And water travels, of course, so this will affect a LOT of people, livestock, wells, and aquatic life in the Ohio River Basin. This 3 minute video reveals a lot that you won’t find elsewhere.

Can TRS* (a cellular nano-zeolite detox) help with this massive air, land, and water contamination?
Advanced TRS binds and detoxes approximately 80,000 toxins and all heavy metals which exist environmentally, so TRS is ideal for this. (see ‘What is Advanced TRS?’ in FAQs)
Advanced TRS, the BLUE bottle at inspiredhealthtrs/order encapsulates positively-charged ionic material, so you can pee out your toxins about 6 hours later.
TRS binds things such as mercury, lead, nickel, aluminum, cadmium, arsenic, barium, ammonia, microplastics (components of plastics released), etc. (including mycotoxins and MOLD byproducts). While we do not know specifically what all this fire released, we can be assured there were even more noxious fumes included.
TRS has been widely studied and the safety profile and metastudy of 142 total studies shows:
- Bind heavy metals and over 80,000 toxins
- Adjust the balance of vital nutrients like iron & calcium
- Support intestinal microflora and pH
- Promote healthy immune function
- (see ‘What is Advanced TRS?’ in FAQs)
TRS also reduces the overall toxic load on the liver. Vinyl chloride and several of the others are known for creating serious liver damage.
[One bottle is 140 sprays (at full usage, 5/d., will last a month). We start at 1 spray/day for a week, then 2 (split AM and PM) a day for the second week and so on till up to 5/d. However, many only use 1-3 sprays/d. as a maintenance dose.]
Advanced Fulvic*, the DARK BROWN bottle at inspiredhealthtrs/order supports the body in detoxing toxins (like vinyl chloride and phosgene) of neutral and negative charge. Advanced Fulvic works by supercharging your mitochondria so they proactively expel their toxic material from your cells.
So if you are in an affected area, or have any concern about how airborne or waterborne toxicity may affect you in the future from this or other events, I would recommend Advanced TRS along with Fulvic to help your body proactively purge this toxicity. I’m putting them into stock so I can protect my family from something similar in the future.
*This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Other foods and supplements I recommend for this toxic situation:
- Milk thistle tincture, which is very supportive to the liver. I like this brand, but it’s not recommended for children. (Children (incl. babies) can take TRS and Fulvic as directed).
- Bentonite clay powder or food grade Diatomaceous Earth supports detox. This is something you would mix into water and drink. (also see 8 Detox Strategies If You’ve Been Exposed To Pesticides or Toxins)
- Chlorine dioxide is a water purifier, and it can also purify you – safely – but it is a bit time consuming. See how to make it at home in a 3 minute video here.
- Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate) to bowel tolerance. (See this post to understand getting to tolerance.)
- Homeopathic ignatia for PTSD, bad news, worry and/or negative thoughts.
- Beets are a stellar blood cleaner. If you have nothing else, cook beets on the stove with sea salt, eat them and drink the juice! (or make beet kvass here).
- Lemon/turmeric detox support drink 1 -2 times a day.
- Dandelion tincture. Pre-prepared tincture here.
- Homeopathic liver cleanse.
- PLENTY of clean water to flush out these toxins. A very good water filter is even more necessary now. Or make your own gravity fed water filter.
- Prioritize SLEEP. Getting enough sleep is so very helpful to your body overall.
I am praying for everyone affected by this environmental disaster.
PS: Keep this in mind: Authorities blew the train (this didn’t have to be released into the air) and the 3 top railroad owners of Norfolk Railroad are BlackRock, Vanguard, JP Morgan. I believe this was intentional.

Hi Jacqueline!
For general detox, I would recommend your readers research chlorella, food-grade diatomaceous earth, chaga mushroom, eleuthero (Siberian ginseng), kombucha, and beet kvass! Some of those things you have on your blog and there are many more, I’m sure. The Healthy Home Economist is another great source for detox research.
Oh, Lord have mercy on those affected by this train derailment! I think I read about another train derailment in the Houston area.
Thanks, Jacqueline.

Hi, Katie, I am so sad and heart-sick over this.
I no longer recommend chlorella due to possibly making it worse and redistribution: https://deeprootsathome.com/2-month-2-food-combo-chelates-heavy-metals/ You really have to know what you are doing and I am just going to sue things I can quantify. Added it to the post with a caveat..
Yes, this is a good list, if someone has time and a working kitchen with clean water to prepare. It makes an already hard life so much harder.
Thanks, Katie,
Jacque

Hi Jacque!
Yesterday afternoon I thought of Activated Charcoal as an emergency remedy. I think that’s the first thing I would be taking daily if I were exposed to these toxins (and probably packing up to move!).
I read an account in the book CharcoalRemedies.com by John Dinsley of a man who took activated charcoal 3 times daily for a while after acute exposure on the job to an extremely toxic substance and his blood tested all clear twice after his treatment. Docs said it was impossible. All the other men exposed in the same incident had life-ending or life-altering reactions within a couple years. They did not take any activated charcoal.

Thank you for this information, Jacqueline. I live about 200 miles from the site of the disaster. The lack of information, assistance, and transparency, is stunning. I also have a close relative nearer the path of the waterborne toxins in the Ohio River. Many people in her area have wells. The cost, both physically and financially, is incalculable. Most of the residents are already struggling to get by. Heartbreaking. We have been praying about what to do to protect our family, and to help others. Your post came at the perfect time. Thank you for being obedient to God.
Jacqueline
Oh, Beth, I am heartsick over this and know it will affect millions, thought they may never know what hit them. It is the least I can do – this and pray!
I have used TRS to get me and my family well, so it is naturally what I recommend, but there are actually many things that will help, just not as convenient if one is forced into being on the road, or so sick they can’t make their own remedies, etc.
Even 1 spray a day (into the mouth) could mitigate quite a bit in a baby, toddler or child. THAT it is a good value cost-wise – like 36 cents a day – for 140 days using up 1 bottle. There are 140 sprays in a $50. bottle.
Even taking Epsom salts baths would help in a normal situation, but now the water is contaminated, so that would not make sense.
I am praying for your relative near there.

Thank you so much for praying. May God guide and protect all that were, or will be, affected by this tragedy. It’s so overwhelming, but we are reminded that with God and faith, all things are possible.
I am going to spread the word about the sprays. Again, bless you for sharing your wisdom!
KB
I suggest PBX- it’s the natural version of TRS. 🙂 I’m about an hour from the train derailment and I’m struggling a bit with what to do myself. Lord have mercy on us all!
Jacqueline
Hi, KB,
Actually, I wanted to let you know that PBX is not a better product. I wrote this a bit ago showing the science of it. You can’t adsorb as much because it is already somewhat contaminated (as you will see):
https://deeprootsathome.com/pbx-vs-trs-siliconaluminum-ratio-lead-content-matter/
I hope that helps. BUT zeolite IS the way to go! God bless you and your family and everyone affected! Sending peace,Jacque
Geri
Does anyone know how long it will linger in the air as it moves east? I can hardly believe not a word or any help from environmentalists in dealing with this catastrophe.
Jacqueline
Geri, it is the most gut-wrenching thing seeing this happen. They don’t care and won’t lift a finger! I am prying more imprecatory prayers all the time!
Are you in the path?
Praying for you, friend.

I’m just posting this as an FYI for your readers, Jacque. I think this could save lives and am trying to share it widely. (I posted it above, but wanted to share in the main body of comments.)
BEST EMERGENCY REMEDY FOR POISONING IS ACTIVATED CHARCOAL http://charcoalremedies.com/
Do your own research. Activated charcoal can be taken internally by people and also be put into livestock water/feed and mixed into toxic soil (gardens & crop land) to help protect and clean up the chemicals. It’s commonly used in emergency rooms for drug overdose or poisoning.
You can also make your own charcoal – it’s not hard, look it up.
They did not take activated charcoal.
Thanks and God bless each of you!
Jacqueline
Thank you for sharing here, Katie!
Just a caveat, activated charcoal is not know in an emergency room setting to work after 25-30 minutes as the poison is already in the blood stream – and activated charcoal cannot grab it there.
It may have some use to clean up a terrain in a way I am not familiar with, but I wouldn’t rely on it for such a dire human need when there are more sure ways to do it with certainty.
I wrote this here: https://deeprootsathome.com/activated-charcoal-why-no-mama-should-be-without-it/
“In the case of aspirin poisoning, activated charcoal should be given right away, or if possible, at least within the first thirty minutes.
Powdered charcoal reaches its maximum rate of adsorption in the stomach within one minute. The sooner it is given, the better the chances of successful treatment.
After one hour, charcoal given for fast-absorbing drugs like aspirin is usually only about ten percent effective. (source)
It has also been used successfully as an external poultice (mixed with baking soda and plantain) on brown recluse and other serious spider bites.”
I love the idea, though, for the soil and for livestock in an ongoing usage.
Love and appreciate you,
Jacque
